Alan Gow (born October 9, 1982 in Glasgow , Scotland ) is a Scottish football player who was most recently under contract with the Scottish second division club FC St. Mirren .

Gow comes from the youth team of FC Clydebank, where he joined the first team in 2000. There he was never able to assert himself and consequently moved in 2002 to the Scottish third division side Airdrie United , with whom he rose to the second Scottish division in 2004 . In 2005 he left Airdrie and was signed by FC Falkirk . There he played between 2005 and 2007. After a convincing 2006/07 season, he was courted by numerous clubs, such as Wolverhampton Wanderers , FC Hibernian , or FC Aberdeen , but decided to move to the Glasgow Rangers.

After he could not prevail at the Rangers, however, he moved to England to Plymouth Argyle in August 2009.
