Alan Hawkshaw
Alan Hawkshaw (born March 27, 1937 in Leeds ) is a British musician.
He played for many artists as a studio pianist and keyboard player. In the early 1960s he was a professional musician with Emile Ford's group The Checkmates . In 1967 he released the album The Champ with the session musicians band The Mohawks , some of which were released from his own album Mo'Hawk . In 1969 he replaced Bruce Welch at The Shadows at concerts in the Far East and played on her albums "Shades of Rock", "Live at Sankey Hall / Japan" and the number 1 album "Strings of Hits". He was also involved in both Marvin, Welch & Farrar LPs. From 1973 to 1975 he was a member of the British pop rock band Fancy . Other musicians he played with were Cliff Richard , Olivia Newton-John , Roger Daltrey , Des O'Connor and in 2009 also for Daniel Merriweather in "Chainsaw".
