The gentlemen of the albums (also: von der Albm , called von der Alm ) were a noble family from the Pinzgau region of Salzburg .

They owned the hereditary tavern office in Salzburg , and the Albm zu Triebenbach were inherited from Laufen (that is, they belonged to the noble families who were only authorized to export salt on the Salzach ). At a very old age Eustachius took the virgin Elsbeth von Dachsberg as his wife. Elsbeth also gave him a son, who died in the cradle, so that with Eustachius' death in 1561, the family died out. The coat of arms of the extinct Albm came to the Haunsberg on November 15, 1601, at the same time as that of the extinct Aichaim .

In 1518, the Augsburg citizen Marx Würsung dedicated his tournament book printing to the Salzburg governor knight Hans von der Albm zu Hieburg, heir to the Salzburg monastery.

Seats of the family were the Hieburg (today a ruin near Neukirchen am Großvenediger ) and Triebenbach Castle in Laufen (Salzach) .
