Marx Würsung (or Marcus, or Wirschung, Wirsing, Wyrsung or Wirsung) (* approx. 1460; † end of 1520/21) was an Augsburg merchant, pharmacist, bookseller and publisher . From 1517 until his death he was Siegmund Grimm's companion . Your printing offizin was the most important publication site of humanistic literature in pre-Reformation Augsburg .

He wrote 74 obscene verses "Erotic adventure with a laundress", handed down in Valentin Holl's collective manuscript.

In 1518 he arranged for the printing of a tournament booklet that he had received from Hans von der Alben . He dedicated the printing to Hans von der Alben with a dedication letter. It is assumed that Georg Rüxner received a handwritten version of the tournament booklet of the album and handed it over to Würsung for printing.

In 1520 he and Sigmund Grimm edited the motet collection Liber selectarum cantionum , edited by Ludwig Senfl , which was dedicated to the then Salzburg Prince Archbishop Matthäus Lang von Wellenburg . Würsung's son Christoph Würsung (1500–1571) translated Fernando de Rojas ' drama La Celestina under the title “Ain Hipsche Tragedia von zwaienliebenden mentschen”, which appeared just a week after the Liber selectarum cantionum , also with a dedication to the cardinal.
