Albert Alois Müller

Albert Alois Müller also Albert A. Müller (born June 19, 1898 in Kriens ; † January 5, 1976 in Lucerne ; entitled to live in Ermensee ) was a Swiss librarian .

Life

The Catholic baptized, born Krienser Albert Alois Müller attended primary schools in Reussbühl then and Lucerne, the school in Lucerne. After obtaining the federal Matura , he completed an apprenticeship as a librarian at the Lucerne Cantonal Library, where he was elected librarian in 1921. After the Central and University Library Lucerne (ZHB Luzern) was created in 1951 through the merger of the Citizens' Library and the Cantonal Library, Albert Alois Müller was elected its first director, a position he held until he retired in 1965.

Albert Alois Müller, a member and district president of the Swiss People's Library and editor of Das neue Buch , died in 1976 at the age of 77 in Lucerne.
