Albert Bauer (politician, 1911)

Albert Bauer (born November 7, 1911 in Muolen , † January 11, 1970 in Frauenfeld ) was a Swiss politician ( SP ).

The citizen of Muolen received training as a lathe operator at the company Aktiengesellschaft Adolph Saurer in Arbon . Until 1945 he was an employee of this company and from 1945 Thurgau workers secretary in Frauenfeld. From 1949 to 1955, Bauer was a local councilor in Frauenfeld and from 1955 until his death in 1970 he was city administrator (until May 31, 2015 term for the mayor of the Canton of Thurgau) in Frauenfeld.

He was a member of the Grand Council from 1947 to 1968 and of the National Council from 1951 to 1970 as August Roth's successor . There Rolf Weber from Arbon was able to succeed Bauer.
