Albert Bergholz

Albert Bergholz (born January 10, 1892 in Halle (Saale) , † 1957 in Berlin-Köpenick ) was a German politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the Reichstag from 1929 to 1930 and 1932 to 1933.

Life and activity

Bergholz attended elementary school in Halle and in 1908 became chairman of the youth workers in Halle. Between 1910 and 1914 he worked as a cigar maker at home and abroad. Politically, Berholz, who was involved in the labor movement early on, had been a member of the SPD since around 1910.

After the First World War he became a member of the closer workers 'and soldiers' council in Leipzig in 1919 . In the autumn of 1919 he became editor of the Volksbote in Zeitz and later chairman of the local sub-district organization of the SPD.

In July 1929 Bergholz moved in for Richard Krüger , who had resigned, as a member of the Reichstag, which he then belonged to as a representative of constituency 11 (Merseburg) until the Reichstag election in September 1930.

On the occasion of the Reichstag election of July 1932, Bergholz, after not being a member of parliament from September 1930 to July 1932, was able to return as a member of the Reichstag, which he now has eight months after his mandate was confirmed in the November 1932 election long, until March 1933, belonged again as a representative of the constituency of Merseburg.
