Albert Decaris
Albert Decaris (born May 6, 1901 in Sotteville-lès-Rouen , Département Seine-Maritime , † January 1, 1988 in Paris ) was a French painter , decorator and engraver who often worked with watercolor or ink. He won the Prix de Rome at the age of 19 and became a member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts in 1943 . He was a member of the Société nationale des beaux-arts and won its Prix Puvis de Chavannes in 1957 . He also designed postage stamps such as B. for the postage stamp year 1948 of the Saar Protectorate .
