Albert Ermarth , pseudonym Albert Puls ( July 19, 1846 in Munich - April 26, 1901 in Hof ) was a German officer, singer and actor .

Life

Ermarth Albert, the son of a Bavarian general, was an officer himself, but followed his inclination for the theater and joined the Carltheater as a volunteer at a young age, then was engaged as a lover and hero in Laibach, Franzensbad, Essegg and Nuremberg until he joined the Association of Graz City Theater, where it was used successfully in drama as well as in farce and operetta.

The artist, who played under the name Albert Puls for a long time, was engaged in Prague for many years and was one of the most busy and valued members there. From Prague he returned to Munich, where he was applauded at the Gärtnerplatztheater, now as a lover and bon vivant, now as an operetta singer and comedian.

In 1899 he joined the Association of the Carltheater in Vienna, where he was also pleasantly noticed by its great usability. At the beginning of 1901, the artist and Conrad Dreher went on tour tours arranged by the latter. The dutiful actor may have expected too much here, his nerves were overstimulated and he succumbed to a stroke on April 26, 1901 in Hof in Bavaria.

Ermarth was married to the singer Melanie Häckel .
