Albert Hammel (painter)
Albert Hammel (born March 28, 1883 in Heilbronn ; † December 24, 1958 ) was a German painter and graphic artist .
Life
He completed an apprenticeship in graphic design and then studied at the Munich Academy and with Adolf Hölzel at the Stuttgart Academy. From 1920 he was a freelance artist in Heilbronn. After the air raid on December 4, 1944 , he moved to Lauffen am Neckar , where he worked from then on and was also buried.

Albert Hammel's work includes, in particular, landscape paintings in watercolor . After the Second World War he worked on the restoration of the astronomical clock in the Heilbronn town hall . Some of his works are in public ownership, including the watercolor Landscape near Hinterstein in the Heilbronn City Museum .
