Albert Hillenkötter

Albert Hillenkötter (born February 12, 1898 in Emsdetten ; † March 5, 1965 ) was a German politician ( CDU ), member of the state parliament and from 1963 until his death district administrator of the Steinfurt district .

Life and work

After attending primary school , Albert Hillenkötter completed his professional training as a weaver . He worked as a weaver from 1912 to 1925. From 1925 to 1930 he was managing director of the Central Association of Christian Textile Workers in Dülmen . He was then district manager in Bavaria and a member of the main board until 1933. After four years of unemployment, he worked as an insurance agent from 1937 to 1942 and then until 1946 as a savings bank employee. From 1946 Hillenkötter was district secretary and also district manager of the textile clothing union in Münster .

politics

After the Second World War he was one of the leading founding members of the CDP in the Steinfurt district and was a registered member there from October 7, 1945. The CDP was renamed CDU in 1946, where he was a board member at local and district level.

MP

From 1924 to 1926 Hillenkötter was a community representative in Emsdetten. From 1928 to 1930 he was a member of the district council in the Coesfeld district . From October 13, 1946 to 1963, he was a member of the district council in the Steinfurt district and chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.

He was a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament from July 13, 1954 to March 5, 1965. In the 3rd , 4th and 5th electoral terms he was the directly elected member of constituency 80 Steinfurt-Nord. With his death he left the state parliament prematurely.
