Albert Hofbauer

Albert Hofbauer (born May 30, 1910 in Bad Aussee , Styria , † May 4, 1991 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ).

Life

After attending primary and middle school , Albert Hofbauer earned his living as a worker in a sawmill . Later he was a casual worker and from 1933 to 1938 an agricultural worker . From 1946 he worked in a salt works .

However, his political career began as early as 1930 when he was elected chairman of the Socialist Youth in Bad Aussee. In 1949, he was elected district party leader of the SPÖ in Rottenmann . In 1950 he briefly took over the position of Vice Mayor of Bad Aussee.

In October 1952 he moved to the Federal Council in Vienna as a social democratic member . After leaving the regional chamber in April 1953, Hofbauer was sworn in as a member of the Styrian state parliament . Hofbauer was a member of the Styrian state parliament for 15 years, from 1953 to 1968.
