Albert Ilien

Albert Ilien (born December 23, 1944 ; † September 26, 2011 ) was a German educational scientist and Catholic theologian and professor of education at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hanover .

Life

In 1972 Albert Ilien co-founded the Glocksee School together with Oskar Negt and the pedagogue Thomas Ziehe . In 1975 Ilien received his doctorate in theology at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg , and two years later in sociology at the University of Tübingen . From 1981 until his retirement in 2008 he was a professor in the educational sciences department at Leibniz Universität Hannover.
