Albert Jansen (businessman)

Albert Jansen (born October 27, 1903 in Geilenkirchen ; † June 7, 1974 ) was a German businessman .

Life

Albert Jansen, son of Wilhelm Jansen and Petronella born. Latz, joined Willy and Franz Jansen in 1926 in the family company Eisen-, -waren- u. Sanitary Wholesale KG in Geilenkirchen .

Jansen was after the war councilor of the city of Geilenkirchen and the DP whose council deputy . He was Vice President of the Aachen Chamber of Commerce . He was a board member of the Association of German Hardware Dealers .

Albert Jansen is namesake and, together with his wife Else Jansen, whom he married in 1929, was the founder of the Albert Jansen Foundation for charitable purposes and helping people in need in the Geilenkirchen area.

In 1967 Albert Jansen was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested in Münster on April 29, 1967 by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .
