Albert Johnson (walker)
Albert Johnson (born May 1, 1931 in Sheffield , † May 20, 2011 in Hobart , Australia ) was a British walker .
At the European Athletics Championships in 1954 in Bern, he did not reach the goal in 50 km walking .
Two years later he came in eighth place in the 50km walk at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics .
At the 1958 European Championship in Stockholm he was 11th in the 20 km walk , and in the 50 km walk at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, he was disqualified.
Starting for the Isle of Man , he finished eighth in the 20 mile walk at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston in 1966 .
He trained, among others, John Warhurst and, after his emigration to Tasmania in 1974, Kylie Risk .
