Albert Kemmann (born March 13, 1858 in Eggerscheidt near Ratingen ; † January 19, 1931 in Bad Godesberg ) was mayor of the formerly independent city of Cronenberg for 35 years (1885-1920) , now a district of Wuppertal . After working as administrative secretary in Bonn, he was elected mayor of Cronenberg in 1885; In 1897 and 1908 he was re-elected. During his tenure, the population of Cronenberg grew from around 8,400 to 13,400.

Under the administration of Kemmann, the infrastructure of Cronenberg in particular was expanded and thus the conditions for the predominantly metal-processing industry were greatly improved.

During his term of office the construction of the waterworks with water tower (1888), the construction of the Cronenberger gas station (1890) and the securing of the electricity supply through contracts with the Bergisches Elektrizitätswerk Müngsten fall. There was also the construction of the route for the Burgholzbahn , which made the transport of raw materials and finished goods considerably cheaper, as well as the expansion of various tram lines. The former Cronenberg Town Hall was inaugurated by him in 1900.

He was made honorary citizen of Cronenberg on March 5, 1920.
