Albert Kroon

Albert Friedrich Meino Kroon (born March 4, 1932 in Neuemoor ; † February 2, 2014 ) was a farmer and local chronicle of the East Frisian landscape .

biography

He was elected to the municipal council of Großefehn in 1972 and was also the local mayor of Bagband . He did this voluntary work for a total of 24 years. In 1974 he became a member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU).

The main focus of his chronicler activity was the local history, church and sociological development of Bagband and the region. In addition, he was involved in field name research in the development of the Bagband field tour .

In 1997, Kroon was awarded the medal of honor of the community of Großefehn. On August 8, 2005 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .

Albert Kroon is buried in the cemetery of the Martin Luther parish of the Bagbander church .
