Neuemoor Old School (Höster Dörphus)

Neuemoor is a district of the municipality of Hesel in the district of Leer in East Frisia . It is located about four kilometers east of the core town in the middle of a Pseudogley Podzol area at an altitude of about m above sea level. NN . The village has about 300 inhabitants.

Neuemoor is a row settlement that emerged from a bog colony founded in 1764. This is mentioned for the first time in 1774 as the so-called new Mohr . The current spelling has been used since 1818. Neuemoor is strongly characterized by agriculture. A boost for population development began after the end of the Second World War . In 1946, 58 of the 311 inhabitants were refugees. Most of these left the colony, so that in 1950 they made up 27 people, only 9.2 percent of the 292 inhabitants.

On January 1, 1973, Neuemoor was incorporated into the municipality of Hesel.
