Raphael Albert Lambert Fils (born December 31, 1865 in Rouen , † March 1, 1941 in Paris ) was a French theater and silent film actor.

Life

Albert Lambert became a member of the Comédie-Française in 1885 and performed as an actor until he was 70 in 1935. He was a busy member of French theater in the late 19th century and in the fin du siècle. The playwrights he played included famous names such as Alexandre Dumas the Younger , Victor Hugo , Pierre Corneille , Jean Racine , Ernest Renan , Alfred de Musset .

He also worked as an actor in early silent films . His best-known role was the Duke of Guise in the 1908 film " The Assassination of the Duke of Guise ", which also made his film debut. In total, he played in around 8 short films.

The actor died in Paris at the age of 75.
