Albert Leibenfrost
Albert Leibenfrost (born March 6, 1923 in Linz , † March 22, 2005 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian politician of the ÖVP and economist.
Life
Albert Leibenfrost grew up in Linz and studied political science at the University of Graz from 1945 to 1948 ( doctorate in 1948). From 1949 he worked in various economic and political functions in Upper Austria , first as secretary of the Chamber of Commerce. In 1963 Leibenfrost took over the management of the legal and commercial policy department there. In 1967 he was appointed head of the economic policy department. Since 1976 he has been head of the trade policy department.
From November 4, 1975 to October 16, 1980, Leibenfrost was a member of the Austrian National Council .
In the period from 1980 to November 6, 1990, he held the office of a regional economic council in Upper Austria ( regional government Ratzenböck II and III ).
Leibenfrost is considered to be one of the founders of the top economic position in Upper Austria at the end of the 20th century.
Leibenfrost is buried at the St. Barbara cemetery in Linz.

- 1985: Medal of honor in gold from the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft in Austria
