Albert Mudrian

Albert Mudrian (* 1975 in Wilkes-Barre ) is an American music journalist and non-fiction author . He is editor-in-chief of the music magazine Decibel .

biography

Mudrian was born in 1975 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA . His interest in heavy metal began during high school with groups like Iron Maiden and Metallica . He later turned to more extreme forms of metal and bands such as Sepultura , Obituary and Napalm Death . He has been working as an author since July 1996, since 1997 as a salaried editor at Red Flag Media and since October 2004 he has been editor-in-chief of the music magazine Decibel . After an interview with Digby Pearson, owner of Earache Records , in May 2000, Mudrian began researching his book Choosing Death: The Improbable History of Death Metal & Grindcore , which was published in 2004. In 2009 Mudrian gave the compilation Precious Metal. Decibel Presents the Stories Behind 25 Extreme Metal Masterpieces .
