Albert Rossow
Albert Rossow (born March 21, 1857 in Stettin , † April 24, 1943 in Lucerne ) was a German composer and conductor . He found his final resting place in the south-west cemetery in Stahnsdorf in Brandenburg (grave already abandoned). The entry about the grave field still states : “Conductor of the Koslek Wind Band ”.
He graduated from the military band at the Academy of Music in Berlin . Around 1900 he moved to Switzerland and settled in Lucerne . He was the conductor of the Stadtmusik Zürich . In 1926 and 1927 he was also the conductor of the Stadtmusik Winterthur .
He composed works for orchestra, wind orchestra, choir and chamber music.
