Albert Schmidt (politician, 1922)

Albert Schmidt (born November 27, 1922 in Vienna ; † August 13, 2007 there ) was an Austrian politician of the FPÖ .

Albert Schmidt passed his Matura in 1940 and graduated from the University of Vienna in 1951 with a doctorate. He then worked as a federal civil servant, most recently as a ministerial advisor in the Austrian Ministry of Finance . From 1959 to 1971 he was a member of the Vienna City Council, and in 1963 he was elected chairman of the FPÖ's local council. He was a member of the Vienna state party executive and from 1992 to 1996 of the federal party leadership. From 1990 to 1998 he was involved in the Wiener Seniorenring. As a member of the FPÖ, he was a member of the National Council from November 4, 1971 to June 4, 1979 (13th and 14th legislative periods). Schmidt was buried at the Vienna Central Cemetery .
