Albert Steidl

Albert Steidl (born January 12, 1927 in Dienten am Hochkönig ; † February 21, 2017 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and tax advisor . Steidl was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1979 to 1990 .

Life

Albert Steidl attended the commercial academy in Salzburg after compulsory school and was a working student at the University of World Trade in Vienna , where he completed his basic studies in 1949 with the academic degree Dipl.-Kfm. graduated in 1952 as a Dr. rer. comm. PhD. Between 1954 and 1968, Steidl worked as an independent tax advisor in Kitzbühel and from 1968 worked as a tax advisor in Saalfelden.

politics

In the political arena, Steidl was active as mayor of Leogang between 1964 and 1977 , and between 1977 and 1979 he was regional councilor in the Salzburg regional government . He also held the internal party functions of the local party chairman of the ÖVP Leogang (1963–1971) and the ÖVP district party chairman in Pinzgau (1971–1986), and from 1981 he was vice president of the working group for the liberal professions. Steidl represented the ÖVP in the National Council between June 5, 1979 and August 14, 1990.
