Albert Wilde

Karl Wilhelm Albert Wilde (born May 2, 1854 in Stralsund ; † October 16, 1919 in Elsterwerda ) was a lawyer, mayor of Elsterwerda and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Wilde attended the Sundisches Gymnasium in Stralsund. From 1872 to 1875 he was a civil supernumerary at the Stralsund district court. In 1875/76 he was a one-year volunteer with the 3rd Pomeranian Infantry Regiment No. 14 and was discharged with qualification as a reserve officer. From 1876 to 1879 actuary at the district court of Liebenwerda and from 1879 to 1882 at the district court of Elsterwerda. From 1882 he was mayor and head of office in Elsterwerda, which he remained until his death. He was also a member of the district council, the district committee and the provincial council. He was also a public prosecutor, registrar and head of the Advance Association to Elsterwerda GmbH. From 1907 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the National Liberal Party from the constituency of Merseburg 1 Liebenwerda , Torgau .

In Elsterwerda there is a Bürgermeister-Wilde-Straße, from 1905 there was a Mayor-Wilde-Brunnen and in the city park there is a memorial at his family grave.
