Albert Wolf (politician)

Albert Wolf (born November 19, 1916 in Möhringen near Stuttgart , † February 5, 1986 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After completing primary school and attending commercial school, Wolf completed a commercial apprenticeship and then worked as a commercial clerk. He did Reich labor service from 1937 , was drafted into the Wehrmacht in 1938 and participated in World War II as a soldier from 1939 to 1945 . After the end of the war, he worked from 1945 to 1952 as an employee in the Württemberg-Baden Ministry of Economics and then as an employee in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics . He also acted as deputy chairman of the working group for social issues in Baden-Württemberg. In 1954 Wolf was a founding member of the German Family Association of Baden-Württemberg (DFV).

Political party

Wolf joined the CDU in 1946, was initially deputy chairman of the social committees in North Württemberg and later became deputy chairman of the social committee in Baden-Württemberg.

MP

From 1947 to 1949, Wolf was a district adviser in Stuttgart-Möhringen. He was a member of the German Bundestag from November 13, 1953, when he replaced Gebhard Müller , who was elected as the new Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg , until 1957. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of Baden-Württemberg.
