Albertzellkens

Albertzellkens (* 1909 in Frankfurt am Main ; † 1978 ) was a German athlete , sports official and manufacturer .

Life

From 1941 to 1978 Albertzellkens was co-owner of the family business "Bettenzellkens" founded in 1854.

Soccer

Cellkens was elected chairman of the Frankfurt gymnastics community from 1861 in 1945, which in 1945 became the gymnastics and fencing community Eintracht von 1861 . In 1968 this club merged with the sports community Eintracht to form Eintracht Frankfurt under the control of cellken . Its president waszellkens from 1970 to 1973. During his presidency he pushed for the renovation of the Frankfurt Waldstadion (today Commerzbank-Arena) for the 1974 World Cup .

Gymnastics

Zellekens himself was an active gymnast . At the Summer Olympics in 1952 he was national trainer for the German gymnastics group ( FRG ). From 1956 to 1960 he held the position of Federal Treasurer of the German Gymnastics Federation . At the 1972 Summer Olympics ,zellkens was on the jury for the gymnastics disciplines.
