Albert von Hess

Albert Heß , from 1888 von Heß , (born June 22, 1836 in Ludwigsburg , † March 7, 1911 in Stuttgart ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of the lawyer Albert Heß (1806–1841), von Heß studied law in Tübingen after attending grammar school in Ludwigsburg . During his studies in 1855 he became a member of the Germania Tübingen fraternity . After his exams in 1859 and 1860, he worked at the Ludwigsburg Higher Regional Court in 1861, as an assistant at the Esslingen Higher Regional Court in 1862 and at the secretariat of the royal Ministry of Justice in 1863. There he became Secretary of Justice in 1865. In 1868 he was a district judge in Stuttgart, in 1871 an assistant judge at the civil chamber of the higher tribunal and a member of the regional higher commercial court. In 1872 he became a district judge in Stuttgart. In 1873 he was promoted to Ministerialrat and until 1879 he was the Württemberg representative to the Federal Council . In 1879 he became a lecturer in the Ministry of Justice, where he worked as a personnel officer until 1884 . From 1884 to 1886 he was an appellate judge . In 1885 he was appointed an extraordinary member of the Secret Council in the Royal Ministry of State. There he became a full member in 1886 as the Real Council of State. In 1892 he was deputy, from 1894 president of the royal administrative court. He received the title and rank of Privy Councilor and the title of Excellency . In 1896 he was appointed as a lifelong member of the First Chamber of the Württemberg Land estates .
