Albert von Wolff

Albert Wolff , from 1881 von Wolff , (born October 19, 1818 in Neuenstadt am Kocher , † September 27, 1886 in Ellwangen (Jagst) ) was a Württemberg governor.

Life and work

Friedrich Albert Wolff was the son of a city schoolboy. After attending the Latin school in Neuenstadt, he did an apprenticeship as a clerk with his father and at the Neckarsulm Office . Then he attended high school in Stuttgart and then studied criminal sciences in Tübingen from 1838 to 1841 . In 1841 he passed the first and in 1843 the second higher service examination. Albert Wolff began his professional career from 1843 to 1848 as an actuary at the Gerabronn and Rottenburg offices. From 1848 to 1854 he was an office assistant and collegiate worker in the government of the Jagstkreis in Ellwangen and in the government of the Black Forest in Reutlingen. In the period from 1843 to 1854 he was also employed as a senior administrator in various senior offices. After a year with the replacement commission in Stuttgart, he headed the Crailsheim Oberamt from 1855 to 1861 and the Ellwangen Oberamt from 1861 to 1868 . In 1868 he moved to the government of the Jagstkreis in Ellwangen as a councilor. In 1884 he retired as a senior councilor.

Honor, ennoblement

  • In 1866 Albert von Wolff received the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Friedrich Order .
  • In 1872 he was honored with the Knight's Cross 2nd Class of the Order of the Württemberg Crown .
  • 1881 finally he received the Knight's Cross 1st class of the Order of the Württemberg Crown, which with the personal title of nobility ( ennoblement ) was associated.
