Alberto Chividini (* 23. February 1907 in Buenos Aires , † 31 October 1961 ) was an Argentine footballer who plays with the national team of his native country at the 1930 FIFA World Cup took part.

Career

Alberto Chividini first played for the Central Norte Tucumán club from 1929 to 1930. After a year there, he moved to Estadiantes Porteño, where he only stayed a year and in 1932 went to CA San Lorenzo de Almagro . At the club from Buenos Aires he played together with the Brazilian striker Waldemar de Brito and the former Spaniard Isidro Lángara . With San Lorenzo de Almagro, the defender managed to win the Argentine football championship once , in the 1933 season when they took first place in the table with one point ahead of the Boca Juniors . Chividini could not win another title. He ended his football career in 1938 at the age of 31.

In the national soccer team of Argentina , Alberto Chividini made three appearances between 1929 and 1930. He played his first international game on November 10, 1929 against Paraguay as part of the Campeonato Sudamericano . Argentina won the game 4-1 at the Estadio El Gasómetro in Buenos Aires. In the same tournament he was used a second time, namely in the 2-0 victory over Uruguay in the same stadium. A year later, Chividini was nominated by Argentina coach Francisco Olazar for the 1930 World Cup . Alberto Chividini was used once at the tournament in Uruguay . He had this one game in his team's 6-3 victory over Mexico at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo in a preliminary round match. Then he was no longer used in the tournament, while his team made it to the final and only then failed to host Uruguay. After the World Cup, Chividini's international career ended.
