The Estadio Pedro Bidegain is a football stadium in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires in the Flores district . It has space for 43,494 spectators and serves as the home of the CA San Lorenzo de Almagro association .
history
The Estadio Pedro Bidegain was built in 1993. The stadium opened on December 16, after 52 weeks of work on the arena. The first game in the new stadium took place between CA San Lorenzo de Almagro and CD Universidad Católica from Chile . The game ended with a result of 2-1 for the hosts. Since then, San Lorenzo de Almagro has been using the stadium.
The club has won 11 Argentinian football championships to date , the last title being won in 2013. So far, San Lorenzo has played four titles in this stadium. In addition, the club managed to win the Copa Sudamericana in 2002 , where Atlético Nacional from Colombia was defeated in the final . CA San Lorenzo de Almagro currently plays in the Primera División Argentina, where they finished 15th in the past season (Clausura 2010).
