The Estadio Julio César Villagra is a multifunctional stadium in the Argentine city of Córdoba . It has space for 28,000 spectators and is the home of the CA Belgrano football club .
history
The Estadio Julio César Villagra in Córdoba , with 1.3 million inhabitants behind Buenos Aires, the second largest city in Argentina and located in the center of the country, was built between 1927 and 1929 and opened on March 17, 1929. For the first game in the new stadium, the future user association, the CA Belgrano football club , and Estudiantes de La Plata met for a friendly game. Since then, Belgrano de Córdoba has used the sports facility as a venue for home games. However, the club has not yet achieved any great success and is generally considered to be the second largest club in Cordoba after CA Talleres . Belgrano currently plays in the same league as Talleres, namely in the Primera División .
