Albin Breitenmoser (born May 9, 1899 in Appenzell ; † February 24, 1983 , Catholic , resident in Appenzell) was a Swiss entrepreneur .

Life

Albin Breitenmoser was born as the son of Andreas Anton Breitenmoser and Magdalena Wilhelmina born Schläpfer. He completed an apprenticeship in the French-speaking part of Switzerland from 1915 to 1918 before continuing his training in the weaving industry in Zofingen .

As a result, Breitenmoser initially acted as a participant in "Volksmagazin" , his father's textile business , from 1918 , and then from 1923 as a co-founder of the company "Doerig Taschentücher AG" in Appenzell. In 1944 Albin Breitenmoser finally went into business for himself and founded the textile company "alba Albin Breitenmoser AG" , as well as "weba Weberei Appenzell AG" between 1947 and 1948, which was rebuilt between 1959 and 1960 after being destroyed by a major fire in 1958. To this end, in 1966 he managed the establishment of a sales organization in Austria .

In addition, between 1960 and 1970, Breitenmoser had sixty company apartments built for its employees . As an entrepreneur with a pioneering spirit, he also worked in various commercial and industrial organizations .

Albin Breitenmoser was married to Maria Katharina, the daughter of the builder Luigi Lionelli Mascetti. He died on February 24, 1983, just before the age of 84, in Appenzell.
