Albin Hagström

Albin Hagström (born May 25, 1905 in Orsa , Dalarna , † April 3, 1952 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish musical instrument manufacturer and namesake of the Hagstrom company . He was the father of Karl Erik Hagström , who continued the company.

On January 19, 1925 was Albin Hagstrom his company register, which initially accordions sold and a turnover in 2700 in the first year of its existence Swedish crowns made. Just three years later it had risen to 500,000 crowns. In 1932 the first accordion factory was built in Älvdalen . In the 1930s the company expanded to other Scandinavian countries and finally to the USA . Accordion production increased to 15,000 pieces by 1952 and a total of 700,000 pieces were sold by 1970.
