Albrecht Braun (bank manager)
Albrecht Karl Braun (born March 27, 1932 in Oberkirch ; † February 22, 2011 in Karlstadt ) was a German bank director.
Life
Albrecht Braun grew up in Oberkirch and graduated from school with an intermediate level . In 1948 Braun began a bank apprenticeship at the Bezirkssparkasse Oberkirch and from 1951 took on various tasks. He married in 1957 and moved to the Landesgirokasse Stuttgart as an auditor in 1960 . From 1966 he took over the management of auditing in the Kreissparkasse Grünstadt and the introduction of a Hollerith punch card system .
From 1969 Braun became deputy head of the savings bank in Karlstadt-Arnstein and was responsible for the IT implementation. In 1972 he was appointed to the board. Braun played a decisive role in the mergers of the Karlstadt-Arnstein, Gemünden and Marktheidenfeld-Stadtprozelten savings banks. In 1978 he took over the chairmanship of the Sparkasse Main-Spessart. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Bayerische Landesbank .
In 1990 he retired. He died on February 22, 2011 in the Otto and Anna Herold Retirement Home Foundation in Karlstadt and was buried on February 26, 2011 in the cemetery near the pilgrimage church Maria im Grünen Tal in Retzbach . He leaves his wife Brunhilde, a son and two daughters.
voluntary work
In addition to his professional activity, Braun took on numerous voluntary tasks.
Albrecht Braun was deputy for many years chairman of the BRK -Kreisverbands Main-Spessart and treasurer of the Lions clubs means Main. From 1982 to 2002 he was the second and third chairman of the working group at Rothenfels Castle and was made an honorary member in 2003. In addition, he was chairman of the Karlstadt trade and tourism association.
