Albrecht Hofmann (auditor)

Albrecht Hofmann (* May 12, 1923 - January 10, 2013 ) was a German auditor.

Life

Albrecht Hofmann studied economics and was awarded a Dr. oec. PhD. He worked as an auditor together with his wife Anneliese and retired in 1993 as a senior partner of the law firm Hetzelt und Müller .

Albrecht Hofmann is involved in numerous social projects in the Holy Land . In 1974 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Maximilien Cardinal de Fuerstenberg and invested in Cologne Cathedral on December 4, 1974 by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . He is a Grand Cross Knight of the Order and was Chief Commander of the Papal Laity Order in Bamberg from 1983 to 1999.

He has been involved in numerous community projects in the Lions club at the local, district and national levels. Hofmann was committed to the University of Bamberg , particularly on the board and advisory board of the Bamberg University Association. He was a member of the Catholic Student Union Unitas Henricia Bamberg in the UV since his student days . He was the founder of the German section of the "Friends of the Vatican Secret Archives" and its long-time president.
