Albrecht Patzig

Karl Albrecht Patzig (born November 1, 1850 in Chemnitz ; † October 5, 1929 in Bad Tölz ) was a bookseller, party secretary and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Patzig attended grammar school in Nuremberg and Würzburg from 1859 to 1869. He was then a bookseller until 1877 and then an editor of political newspapers ( Frankfurter Journal , Hannoverscher Courier and others). Between 1888 and 1903 he was general secretary of the national liberal party and then a publisher and bookseller (in the company W. Baensch, Berlin).

He served as a one-year volunteer in the 9th Royal Bavarian Infantry Regiment and advanced to lieutenant in the Landwehr. He was also the author of numerous works published on behalf of the National Liberal Party and co-editor of the German Voice and the Library for Politics and Economics .

From 1903 to 1907 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Duchy of Saxony-Coburg-Gotha 1 ( Coburg ) and the National Liberal Party .
