Albrecht von Mutius

Sigismund Leopold Albrecht von Mutius (born October 19, 1915 in Berlin , † April 26, 1985 in Düsseldorf ) was a German Protestant theologian.

Life

Albrecht von Mutius served as an officer in World War II and was awarded the German Cross in Gold , among other things . After his time as a student pastor in Heidelberg, he worked in the military chaplaincy. As military general dean (1965–1973) with the rank of major in the general staff , he was representative of the military bishop and headed the Evangelical Church Office for the Bundeswehr . From 1973 until his death he was the representative of the Evangelical Churches ( EKiR , EKvW and Lippische Landeskirche ) at the state parliament and state government in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Evangelical Office ). He was also dean of the Order of St. John .

Mutius married on September 23, 1939 in Gotha Eleke von Veltheim (born October 29, 1914 in Bischofferode im Eichsfeld; † .....), the daughter of the Prussian lieutenant Burghardt von Veltheim and Erna born. Summer. The couple had three children.
