Alcantarilha is a freguesia (municipality) in the concelho ( district ) of Silves .

2535 inhabitants live in an area of ​​24.6 km² (as of June 30, 2011). The population density is thus 103 inhabitants per km². The place was raised to a vila (small town) in 1999 .
