Aldo Molinari

Aldo Molinari (born December 13, 1885 in Rome , † May 31, 1959 ) was an Italian journalist , film director and theater director .

Life

Molinari worked in various professions, but in particular as a journalist, and wrote for La Tribuna , Giornale d'Italia and Gazzetta del Popolo . In 1913 he founded the film production company "Vera Films" with Elvira Giallanella , with which he shot some works close to futurism in the following years , without Molinaro being seen as part of the movement; his cinematographic career lasted until 1922. In the 1920s he turned to the theater and formed a ballet ensemble with the ballerina Ileana Leonidoff .

In 1950 he returned to the director's chair for Vendetta di zingara ; the film aimed at the southern market was released two years later as Sangue di nomadi again in some cinemas.
