Ale Jarok

Ale Jarok ( Hebrew עלה ירוק, "Green Leaf") is an Israeli party founded in 1999 . In the elections on January 28, 2003, Ale Jarok received 37,855 votes (1.2%) and thus missed the 1.5% hurdle at the time. In 2006 the party won 1.29 percent of the vote and in 2009 0.39 percent. In the election for the 19th Knesset on January 22, 2013, Ale Jarok got 0.98 percent. So Ale Jarok has not yet been represented in the Knesset .

Profile and program

The party advocates the legalization of soft drugs ( cannabis and hashish ), legalization of prostitution , ecological solutions, and civil and human rights.

The party has drawn up a peace plan taking into account UN resolutions 242 and 338 . It supports the retreat to the approximate borders of 1967. According to its peace plan, an independent state is to emerge in the Arab districts and in the old city of Jerusalem .

Every four years a government is to be formed from 100 members, 33 representatives each of the Christian, Muslim and Jewish faith and one from another recognized religion.

Ale Jarok supports social benefits for foreign workers and their integration into the health system. It supports civil marriages and the recognition of all currents of Judaism. The party also advocates the separation of state and religion and the end of an orthodox monopoly in the practice of religion.
