Alec Francis Roy Chamberlain (* 20th June 1964 in Ramsey ) is a former English football - goalkeeper .
He began his career in 1981 at Ipswich Town , but never came there until he moved to Colchester United in 1982 . He stayed there for five years and gained experience. Then he moved to Everton for 80,000 pounds, but could never prevail against his local rival Neville Southall and moved to Luton Town after a year , where he was used for the second time in his career as a goalkeeper.
In 1993 Chamberlain moved to Sunderland , with whom he rose in the 1995/96 season. Nevertheless, he moved to Watford FC in the summer of 1996 , where he played until the end of his career.
