Alejandro Curbelo , full name Alejandro César Curbelo Aguete , (born September 19, 1973 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player and current coach.
Player career
societies
The 1.82-meter-tall defensive player Curbelo was part of the Miramar Misiones team at the start of his career in 1997 . In 1998 the Club Atlético Basáñez was his employer. The following year he played for Central Español . In the seasons 1999/00 and 2000/01 a career station in El Salvador with Alianza FC is recorded for him. In 2001 he was used in 27 Primera División games for the Montevideo Wanderers and scored one goal. In the 2002 and 2003 seasons he played 38 first division games (no goal) for Nacional Montevideo . The "Bolsos" were Uruguayan champions in the first-mentioned season. In the 2003/04 season and the 2004/05 season he was again active at Alianza FC. In 2005 there are three first division appearances (no goal) in ranks of Defensor Sporting for him. From 2006 to the 2007/08 season he was a member of the Cerro Largo FC squad . At the club from Melo , he ran in 40 league games and scored two goals. The Racing Club de Montevideo will be his last career station in the 2007/08 season . There he completed ten league games (no goal).
National team
Curbelo made his debut on July 16, 2001 in the 1-1 draw in the first round match of the Copa America 2001 against the Costa Rican selection in the Uruguayan national team , when coach Víctor Púa ordered him into the starting line-up. At this tournament he also played in the preliminary round meeting with Honduras and in the quarterfinals again against Costa Rica in the national jersey. In addition to this last-mentioned mission on July 22, 2001, there were no more for the "Celeste". In total, he completed three international matches. He didn't score a goal.
