Alejandro Moro

Alejandro Moro is an Argentinian jazz guitarist, composer, arranger and music teacher.

Moro took guitar lessons at the Buenos Aires Conservatory. He learned the jazz guitar autodidactically, later he attended seminars and courses a. a. by Joe Pass , Jim Hall , Chuck Wayne , Herb Ellis , John Scofield , Mike Stern and Pat Metheny and an intensive course in harmony and improvisation with Jamey Aebersold . He gave courses in jazz guitar as well as harmony and improvisation for instrumentalists (piano, saxophone, bass, etc.). In 1986 he founded a jazz school with Marta Bellomo . His students include a. Eduardo Balerdi , Pablo Bas , Quique Sinesi and Omar Haddad .

At the beginning of his career as a guitarist he accompanied musicians such as Valeria Lynch , Guillermo Fernández , Roberto Goyeneche , Enrique Dumas and Celeste Carballo on. He worked in various formations with Argentine jazz musicians such as Osvaldo Fatorusso , Osvaldo Lopez , Horacio Larumbe , Marta Bellomo , Jorge Navarro , Santiago Giacobe , Mingo Martino , Arturo Schneider , Hugo Pierre , Eduardo Casalla , Oscar Giunta , Pepi Taveira , Hernan Merlo , Gustavo Camara , Guillermo Delgado , Jerónimo Carmona , Diego Lutteral , Jorge Cutello , Roberto Fats Fernández , Junior Cesari , Jorge González and Javier Malosetti . Moro recorded several of his own jazz albums. Pat Metheny gave him the guitar transcription of five of his jazz albums.
