Quique Sinesi
Enrique "Quique" Sinesi (born March 13, 1960 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine guitarist and composer . He is considered one of the most important guitarists in South America. His music is based on tango , Argentine folklore and candombe . In his music he combines classical and world music , improvisation and jazz to create a very personal style. His preferred instruments are the seven-string Spanish guitar and the charango .
Since 1999 he has played regularly in a duo with saxophonist Charlie Mariano , who at times also became a trio with jazz bassist Dieter Ilg . In 2017 he performed in a duo with Fabiana Striffler . He had numerous projects and appearances in South and North America and in many European countries.
