Aleksandër Meksi (born March 8, 1939 in Tirana ) is an Albanian politician .

Meksi was the first non-communist Albanian Prime Minister from 1992 to 1997 under the presidency of Sali Berisha . Before that he was Deputy Speaker of Parliament for a year. After the 1997 unrest in the country, Meksi was forced to resign. His successor was Bashkim Fino from the opposition Socialist Party (SP). He is one of the founders of the Democratic Party of Albania (DP), but no longer holds any office.

The civil engineer trained at the University of Tirana published books on churches in Albania and the restoration of historical monuments in 2004. In communist Albania he worked for the Archaeological Institute as a restorer for a long time . Meksi is married and has two children.
