Aleksandar Drenovak

Aleksandar Drenovak ( Serbian - Cyrillic Александар Дреновак ; born December 30, 1983 in Vrnjačka Banja ) is a Serbian amateur middleweight boxer and Olympic participant from 2012.

Career

The approximately 1.82 m tall Aleksandar Drenovak trains in the boxing department of Dinamo Pančevo . He was Serbian welterweight champion in 2008 and Serbian middleweight champion in 2010, 2014 and 2016.

In October 2006 he won a bronze welterweight medal at the 2nd World University Championships in Almaty . In September 2011 he started in the middleweight division at the 16th World Championships in Baku and fought his way to the quarter-finals against Chuluuntumur Tumurhuyag from Mongolia, Jaime Cortez from Ecuador and Zhang Jianting from China, where he was eliminated against Jewhen Chytrow from Ukraine and thus placed 5th occupied.

So he was able to participate in the 30th Summer Olympics in London in 2012 , where he defeated Marlon Delgado from Ecuador, but was then defeated against the Turkish Adem Kılıççı in the round of 16. He reached another 5th place in the middleweight division at the 40th European Championships in Minsk in 2013 , when he lost in the quarterfinals to Zoltán Harcsa from Hungary.

In November 2015 he won the international Golden Gloves tournament in Vrnjačka Banja . At the European Olympic qualification in Turkey in 2016, he lost in the first fight against the Spaniard Damián Biacho.

He had further international appearances at the Junior World Championships in 2002 in Santiago de Cuba , the European Championships in 2010 and 2011 in Moscow and Ankara , the World Championships in 2013 in Almaty and the European Games in 2015 in Baku .
