Aleksandrs Solovejs (born January 11, 1991 in Riga ) is a Latvian beach volleyball player .

Career

Solovejs played beach volleyball with Rihards Finsters when he was a junior . At the U20 European Championship 2010 in Catania Finsters / Solovejs finished 13th. Three years later they reached the semi-finals at the U23 World Championship 2013 in Mysłowice and landed in fourth place. Since the end of 2013 Solovejs played together with the Olympic third Mārtiņš Pļaviņš . The two Latvians came in second at the FIVB Open tournament in Durban, South Africa , behind their compatriots Jānis Šmēdiņš / Aleksandrs Samoilovs . In 2014 they won the Open tournament in Anapa, Russia . In 2015 Solovejs played alongside Ruslans Sorokins . Toms Šmēdiņš has been his partner since 2016 .
