history

The club was founded on February 12, 1904 as FC Alemannia Wilster , making it one of the oldest football clubs in Schleswig-Holstein. The team known as “Black Devils” qualified in 1908 for the final round of the North German Championship. There you should have played in the quarter-finals at SC Victoria Hamburg . Since the travel costs were too high for the Alemannia, the club decided not to hold the event, so that the Hamburg team continued without a fight. In the 1920s, the team missed promotion to the top division several times.

After the Second World War , Alemannia belonged to the district class West from 1953 . Four years later, the team became champions with 142 goals scored this season, but failed in the promotion round by jumping into the Schleswig-Holstein State League . In 1968 Alemannia was relegated to the district league and did not return until 1971. The Wilsterans then became the elevator crew . In 1974 he was promoted to the Verbandsliga Süd , which could only be held for one year. In 1982 it went to the district class west for the first time for a year , before promotion to the Landesliga Süd in 1987, the most successful era began.

In 1989, Alemannia was runner-up behind SV Sereetz , but failed in the promotion relegation at Rendsburger TSV . After relegation in 1993, they returned immediately, before the Alemannia had to go down to the District League West after the state league was dissolved in 1999 . There the team became champions and rose to the district upper league West . After the district upper leagues were dissolved in 2008, the Alemannia entered the Association League South-West , from which they were relegated in 2013, but managed to rise again a year later.
