Alessandro Marchetti (director)

Alessandro Marchetti (* 1929 in Gorizia ) is an Italian director, actor and acting lecturer, specializing primarily in commedia dell'arte .

Life

In 1968 Marchetti founded the theater company Teatro 7 in Milan , which toured Italy and abroad with various Commedia dell'arte pieces. As a director he worked at the Ingolstadt City Theater , City Theater Bern , City Theater St. Gallen and at the Ludwigsburg Castle Festival . As a lecturer he worked at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Zurich Drama Academy .

Alessandro Marchetti lives in Verbania , Italy with his wife, the actress and dramaturge Luisella Sala , with whom he founded the Teatro Studio Marchetti in 1995. In 2005 he founded the Compagnia stable del V. C. O. based at the Teatro del Chiostro in Verbania.
